Hot

See that photo? There are shadows in it. Forget Ground Hog Day. It's been a long time since we've seen our shadow around here, but things seemed to turn a corner on Friday, launching us straight in to summer. Yesterday it was 30 degrees C. I know, I know. For some of you, that's not HOT! But it is for us and I've already heard some whining. The plants in my greenhouse and garden must be wondering what's next, but we'll take it. Yes, we'll take it.

I have a new favourite Sunday morning. Rise earlier, putz about and make blueberry pancakes. More putzing. (Today, walk the sweet puppy we're puppy-sitting.) Ride my bike to yoga (very virtuous, no?) and then pick up a lemon-ginger freshie at Tacofino. That is one fine refreshing drink.

The exact combination of this new favourite Sunday morning will probably only happen a few times this season, but I plan to enjoy it (and that freshie, my book and the sun) while it's here.
